PEGASUSPARK was born in 1965 with the purchase of MAZAAL #8550 (Alyf x Maazza) from the Kellogg Ranch in Pomona, CA. Although I never got a foal from her, I spent untold happy hours riding her and showing her in Park classes, often winning against her only son and daughter. My breeding program started with the Kellogg horses and they are important to this day.
In 1999, I added the *SERAFIX lines to my breeding program through the acquisition of SX Staleys Gemini (*Serafix x Neecheza) and his famous 1/2 sister, US Reserve National Champion Mare, SX La Quinta (*Serafix x Cobah). Both were born on the same day in 1972. Both were 29 years old when they made the trek from Michigan to California. Both "kids" were shown at the Sierra Empire show at Pomona in April, that year. Gemini, competed against horses a fraction of his age, went on to win Region 1 Top Five Breeding stallion. These magnificent horses, along with the well-known, SERAZIM, cemented my love and appreciation of *SERAFIX and his blood is a large factor in my herd.
Today, PEGASUS PARK continues to breed the Crabbet/Kellogg preservation Arabian, focusing on the performance bloodlines of *SERAFIX, ABU FARWA and AURAB, these horses rich in the great preservation lines to RAKTHA, SKOWRONEK, RABIYAS, *BERK and *NASIK. With their CMK heritage of disposition, trainability, type and style, our horses can perform in many disciplines and be enjoyed by all members of the family. They are true promoters for our Arabian breed. My sincere thanks to Corey Seyan, Dick and Sandy Warren, Dr. David Ward, and Nadine Anderson for entrusting some of their wonderful horses to my care. Thanks to them, PEGASUS PARK was able to gather together A TRULY FINE breeding herd of CMK related horses.
I hope you enjoy our website and come back to visit time and again. It is our goal to educate you about our wonderful horses. I hope that you will become my friends through the CMK Arabian Horse.
